Nival on his way to Haru
Nival was sent to Haru casting almost 2 weeks ago!
I decided to cast him with a bit of grit or "tooth" in the resin. I always liked the touch of Switch or Dollshe's resin. Pastels stick better when resin has a bit of "tooth" on it. Nival will have that too! :D
Can't wait to see him in resin. I'm crossing my fingers to have an arrival notice from Haru. I included some candies too, for him and his family!

Primer finished!
As the title says, the resin primer is finished and now I can send Nival to the casting factory!
I choosed Haru casting for the job. If you visit his Flickr you will notice how professional he is with the artists. Haru offers a variety of colors to choose, from Normal skin yellow (Volks) or pastel colors like mint, to the "moist" new colors (that have a bit of traslucency to the eye).
The casting prices vary, so... you have to send an e-mail to have an accurate quote for the casting of your doll or head. In my case, I didn't read the "quote form" from Haru's blog, and just sent him an email without any information of the head XD! It was my fault, but he was very patient and replied very quick! After that, I answered the email once I had Nival finished. And now I have to wrap him with lots of bubblewrap to protect him on this travel to Korea! I'm so excited!!
I can't believe how time flies! Nival looked so weird 3 months ago... I corrected him many times...
But now he's ready! Omg... omg. I can't believe it hahaha!

Sanding is life
Last time we were in the part where I was about to start the resin priming on Nival, my first head.
Well, he's looking better right now (I promise!!!!). But I wanted to show you this picture to let you see the proccess. I subestimated the sanding work, really. I will end with muscular arms at the end of the month XD!
By the way, this head works in 65-70 cm bodies. I have tested Popodoll 68, Migidoll Guy II and Spiritdoll Proud body.
Once I have the head casted, I will take some comparison photos <3
Now I'll go back to work~

I have been working in this doll head for a while. I started it around May, and due to unfortunate circumstances (my father's health), I had to left it unfinished in my desk.
His name is "Nival", inspired by "Urola Nivalis, a type of white moth. It's also called "Snowy urola moth".
Right now I'm working in the primer, to send it to cast. I'm thinking about sending it to Haru casting, since he's already working with another bjd artists. He seems like nice and professional person. I already sent him an email and we are talking about Nival details.
Hopefully, I'll see Nival in resin soon!
